Once again, there was a magnificent turn out of cyclists with Stella leading around 20 happy pedallers for the river circuit. Despite the cold start, everyone warmed up around the quiet river path, which was looking beautiful in the dappled morning sunlight.
Thanks to Stella (ride leader) and David (our permanent tail end Charlie on river rides it seems!) for a great morning’s ride.
My friend Strava tells me that this morning’s average was 17kph. (By contrast, Steve Cummings was riding uphill at 29kph as he finished first in the 7th stage of TDF overnight. The average on the stage was 40.6kph despite the climb of Col D’Aspin. We can only watch in awe!)
