Club Rides

Each week there are plenty of rides to choose from. Read more about them and find which ones are right for you.

Rides are currently being organised through our simple online RSVP system or members are welcome to just turn up at the starting point.

We welcome visitors to come along for a ride to check us out, and ask that you email us to let us know ahead of the ride to ensure the Ride Leader is expecting you.

Helmets are compulsory. Lights are compulsory for evening rides.

Regular rides for each ride grading.

A variety of roads, bike paths and gravel rides.

Single & multi-day destination rides.

Graded Ride Definitions

Easy ? Rides to 40km, easy terrain with few hills, slow ? medium pace (on bike average of around 15 to 18kph). Paths or quiet roads.

Moderate ? Rides to 70km, with easy terrain, some hills, pace medium ? on bike average around 18-20+kph.

Hard ? Rides of 65+ km. These rides may include steeper hills, and may have a medium ? fast pace (20- 25+kph on bike average) and are usually long.

All Cycling Geelong rides include a refreshment break.

What to bring

Other than a well maintained bike, you are likely to need the following equipment:

Helmet - compulsory

Water bottle

A working pump

Puncture repair kit

(inc. tyre levers/spare tubes), multi tool

Bike lights

Sunscreen

Money
