Everyone is busy at Christmas time. Last Sunday morning, Stella and Helen led ten riders taking time out from the frenzied rush to move to the cycling slow lane for a social ride to Lara.
Rod waved the riders off at Rippleside. They then meandered along the waterfront to the Hovells Creek Path. With a warm, humid day, there were hundreds of back seat passengers.
The ride continued to Espresso Blu for a refreshment stop (with excellent Free Trade Coffee).
Small wheels are certainly making their mark on Cycling Geelong – with Shane’s Moulton (the red one), Max’s new Birdy Orange, Coralie’s quick fold Brompton and Helen’s trusty Bike Friday Pocket Rocket Pro (which recently clocked 45,000km).
After a circuit through Lara Lake, the ride returned via the same route.
