60 minutes: just how far can you go?

2015 Tour Down Under Winner Rohan Dennis is attempting to beat the 60 minute track record tonight

How far can you ride in 60 minutes?  No distractions, no coffee breaks – just yourself, the bike and the seconds ticking away!

In the last few weeks several cyclists have attempted to become the fastest rider on the track!  Tonight, in Switzerland, it’s Australian Rohan Dennis’s turn.  The current record is 51.852km, held by Matthias Brandle.  Last week Aussie Jack Bobridge narrowly missed the record, setting a new Australian record of 51.3 at Melbourne’s DISC Velodrome.

Watch Rohan Dennis’s attempt live tonight from 11:30pm on SBS2 (or streaming live on Cycling Central).  http://www.sbs.com.au/cyclingcentral/news/57958/an-hour-of-solitude-rohan-dennis-on-the-hour
