Who says bikes are only for getting from A to B?
If you want to live a car-free life, and have issues with multiple panniers and trailers, maybe a Haul-a-Day is for you. Or how about a bike-powered cinema?
Small wheels rule!
Pre-Christmas respite Lara run: Sunday 22nd December
Everyone is busy at Christmas time. Last Sunday morning, Stella and Helen led ten riders taking time out from the frenzied rush to move to the cycling slow lane for a social ride to Lara.
Rod waved the riders off at Rippleside. They then meandered along the waterfront to the Hovells Creek Path. With a warm, humid day, there were hundreds of back seat passengers.
The ride continued to Espresso Blu for a refreshment stop (with excellent Free Trade Coffee).
Small wheels are certainly making their mark on Cycling Geelong – with Shane’s Moulton (the red one), Max’s new Birdy Orange, Coralie’s quick fold Brompton and Helen’s trusty Bike Friday Pocket Rocket Pro (which recently clocked 45,000km).
After a circuit through Lara Lake, the ride returned via the same route.
