Daylesford Multi-Day Adventure

Our latest multi-day trip took us to beautiful Daylesford, and what a weekend it was!

We kicked things off with a tasty lunch at Wombat Park, surrounded by lovely gardens and a lookout tower — the perfect spot to start the adventure.

That afternoon we rode from our caravan park accommodation to the Hepburn Blowhole. The route had a few ups and downs, but the ride was worth it for the view of the waterfall. On the way back, we stumbled across a local café that was still open — just in time for a well-earned ice-cream reward after all that pedalling! 🍦

Dinner was at the Royal Hotel, where a few of us scored prime seats to catch the footy action — the perfect end to a great first day.

The next morning, the weather wasn’t quite on our side, so we swapped pedals for treats with a visit to the Chocolate Mill, followed by lunch at the Daylesford Cider Company. With bellies full of chocolate, pizza, and cider, we rolled (slowly!) back to camp for a relaxing afternoon — some explored the lake, others took a snooze.

As the evening chill set in, we gathered in the communal room where the fire roared, and we shared snacks, wine, and home-cooked dishes from the group. Great company, great food, and plenty of laughs.

A little rain overnight didn’t dampen spirits — Sunday’s short ride to Sailors Falls was the perfect wrap-up to the trip. We may have gotten a bit wet, but we found a quiet road back to camp and said our farewells with smiles all round.

A small group, but a fantastic weekend filled with good rides, good food, and great friends.
