Kevin Clingan led the ride, with 19 participants. He reports
Eighteen riders left the start on a fine cloudy morning, with little wind, ideal for riding. We met Gavan at Coppards road. The group spread out as some riders rode ahead of the group, with Hermann as tail end Charlie. The ride back was uneventful with Hermann leaving early, but waiting for the us along the track. It was a very good day for bike riding.
Q: I have a beach crusier type bike, fat wheels, how long do you think to ride from drysdale to east geelong , the maps are saying 35min. But reckon I would take longer?
Hi David
It depends on how fast you ride – the distance to central Geelong (showgrounds) is 16km, less to East Geelong. The trail is all sealed and slightly downhill from Drysdale. Give it a try and see how you go, or, if you’re available on Thursday mornings, join our club ride from the showgrounds at 9am (we usually have coffee at Cafe Zoo at around 10.30am and you’d be most welcome to come along there and chat to the riders and maybe ride back to East Geelong with the group). Keep those pedals turning.
Thank you
All the best
