Despite wet, cold and windy weather, and a competing club ride (on Skipton Rail Trail), 18 riders set off around the river for the last Saturday Barwon River ride for 2017, led by Mike and with Margie (M.L.) cracking her whip as tail-ender.
At the Breakwater Gavin and Tina joined the group (Tina sporting her ‘Full moon ride’ sign*). The wind was extremely strong from the west on the Belmont/Highton side of the river. As usual, Barwon Edge made the group most welcome – where the riders were joined for coffee by Nancy.
*Full Moon Ride – Monday, 1st January, starting at Rip View car park, Point Lonsdale, at 6.30pm, riding paths to Queenscliff (for take-away or BYO dinner of your choice) and returning the same way). Contact Tina if you plan to attend.
