Rod led around 25-30 people on a most enjoyable ride around the river this morning. Before the ride he reminded those cycling of a few safety pointers.
- Ride single file where the path is narrow
- Always ride at least a wheel distance (or 1-2 metres) behind the bike in front.
- When riding double, be alert for other cyclists, walkers etc.
- Warn slower path users by ringing your bell before passing.
Traffic on the path was reasonably quiet, somewhat marred by one belligerent jogger, who seems to have an issue with other path users.
Although there were quite a few rowers on the water, there was no congestion near the rowing sheds.
The refreshment stop was, as usual, at Barwon Edge.
Thanks to Rod (ride leader) and Michael (tail-ender).
