Karen, Neville and Helen set off on a cold Sunday morning for Sutherlands Creek, and Bannockburn. The roads were quiet, the hills were slow and it was a good opportunity to check out the new cafe at the old Bannockburn Station building.
The return to Geelong was on the Midland Highway – prompting discussions about the need to duplicate the very busy section from Bannockburn to Geelong. It’s good to see a new roundabout taking place at the intersection of the Fyansford-Gheringhap Road. This has long been a very dangerous intersection for cyclists. Neville left the ride at this point. Karen and Helen continued through Batesford and up the hill back into Geelong. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/fullscreen/1087118438/
