Little Geelong Tour: Sunday, 4th October 2015

George and David ascending Ted Wilson Trail near Baanip Bvde

George and David ascending Ted Wilson Trail near Baanip Bvde.  This new trail is already deteriorating through lack of maintenance.

Three cyclists set off at 8:30 from Rippleside Park – George, David and Helen.  Numbers were probably down due to a dozen or so members being on Allan’s Goldfields Tour.  Also, it was the first day of Daylight Saving.  Were you still in bed?

It was a glorious morning for a circuit around Geelong, riding the waterfront north, then going south on the Ted Wilson Trail and River path to Highton  for coffee in the sun.  The tour continued through Wandana Heights to the southern most sections of the Ted Wilson Trail, then looped east along Baanip Boulevard, Boundary and Horseshoe Roads, dropping David back home in Grovedale, before returning to Rippleside via the Breakwater Bridge and waterfront.  151004 little geelong tour route
