Make it Cycling Sunday

We’d love to see more of our Saturday pedallers on Sunday rides.  The distance is usually a bit further, but, except for really long rides, the pace is easy and the company, as always, is great.  You also get to sample some of the region’s best scenery and sample new places for coffee.

For example

  • Sunday 13th September (tomorrow’s ride!) – an easy-medium circuit of 60 km to Lara, featuring the historic bluestone tunnel under the railway at Lovely Banks and a fast downhill sweep along Stacey’s Road, returning on the Hovells Creek path and bay trail.  8:30am, Rippleside Park near Adventure Playground.
  • Sunday 20th September – Karen’s Kruisy Ride Mark II – 32 km in the north.  8:00am Corio Library, Cox Road, Corio
  • Sunday 27th September – Point Nepean with Peter and Swee – a short, pleasant ride in Point Nepean National Park (no cars allowed) with beautiful scenery and lots of history.  8:40am Queenscliff Ferry Terminal to catch the 9am ferry (foot passenger fair $11)

A stop for a historical anecdote – Rod’s History ride, Sunday 26th April

See you on a Sunday Cycle soon.
