Rick’s Werribee ride: Sunday, May 17th, 2015

At was around 5C when Ric, Neville and Helen set off from Corio Leisure Time Centre for the Werribee ride.  It was clear and windless.

Rick set a route through the streets of Corio, entering the Melbourne Road from Broderick Road.  The trio made good time to Werribee. Coffee was at the Werribee Service Centre – Ric and Neville are regular customers.  Neville had grandparent duty back in Geelong so the group set off for home soon after 10am.  150513 Freedom Rice Puffs_3033acr editweb

Alas, despite the excellent speed (a slight tail wind), the usual Melbourne Road puncture god struck – a large staple had punctured Neville’s tyre.  In quick time, Nev and Ric had the repair made, the tyre pumped up and the wheel back on the bike.  (Helen gave moral support.)

Thanks, Ric for a good ride.  Conditions were perfect!  Why not join us for the next ride to Werribee on June 21st – 8am takeoff from Aldi, Corio.
