Barwon Heads: Sunday January 25th

Two groups set off for Barwon Heads, leaving at 8am from South Barwon Reserve.  John (ride leader) led the ‘via Lake Connewarre’ group along Barwon Heads Road to Lake Road, with a detour to view beautiful Lake Connewarre before enjoying the strong tail wind along Thirteenth Beach.  A second group – of Russell, David F and Helen – took a slightly longer route along Horseshoe Bend Road, Blackgate Road and Thirteenth Beach.

The groups reunited for coffee at Barwon Heads – where the hardier (or warmer blooded) David, Russ and Helen moved inside with the large group.  The return was via the longer route utilising Thirteenth Beach, the Black Rock Cycleway, Blackgate Road and Horseshoe Bend Road.

Thanks to John for leading this most popular and enjoyable ride.
