Join us for a slow circuit of the Barwon: Celebration of Sustainable Living

Sustainable Living Festival – February

February is the month we turn our attention to Geelong Sustainability’s Sustainable Living Festival.

During February you are invited to join Cycling Geelong members in a ride on the Barwon River Path. We start at Balyang Sanctuary car park at 9am each Saturday and ride towards Breakwater, then all the way up to Fyansford and back to Balyang Sanctuary.

The ride is 20km and easy paced with several stops.  We also stop for coffee, normally at The Edge in Newtown, close to where we finish the ride. You are very welcome to join us for coffee too.

If 20km is too far you can shorten your ride by using one of the many bridges across the Barwon and still meet us for coffee at The Edge.

Only on 7 February there will be a different ride when we go from Balyang Sanctuary to Waurn Ponds and back, with coffee at Waurn Ponds.

The dates of these rides are Saturdays: 7 February, 14 February, 21 February, 28 February.

You don’t need to tell anyone in advance that you are coming – just turn up before 9am since we leave on the ride at 9am sharp.

We look forward to you joining us.
