Swee and I rode this 50km return bikeway in mid-June, leaving from Goolwa and returning there. It’s a great ride, going through Middleton Beach and Port Elliot. The bikeway is a combination of quiet roads and dedicated bike path. All road and the path are in great condition and all bitumenised.
Generally the terrain is fairly flat with a few small hills from time to time.
We had lunch in Port Elliot and the photo below is taken at one of Australia’s oldest railway stations on what is claimed to be the first railway line in Australia.
We’ll write a bit more about this ride in the Tales from the Trails section of the next Flashing Pedals.
